Summary

Anne believes that the way you tell your story to yourself changes everything. Through Narrative Therapy techniques, she empowers clients to see themselves as valuable and capable of reclaiming their stories. Anne also uses techniques from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to help clients process their negative experiences and envision their next chapters. Her strengths-based approach encourages clients to identify strengths and opportunities that may not have yet been explored.
While Anne’s perspective is rooted in her Christian faith, she is deeply respectful of clients’ unique individual beliefs. Anne has worked with individuals and couples focusing on anxiety, depression, grief, poor self-image, trauma, and substance abuse. Having grown up in South America, she is fluent in Brazilian Portuguese. Anne has earned her master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of the Cumberlands and is currently in the process of receiving her Associate Professional Counselor license. She is being supervised by Heather Cobb.
When she is not counseling, Anne enjoys spending time with her husband and three kids, baking, watching murder mysteries, and long walks down Target’s aisles sipping on Starbucks.
