Carleen is a Licensed Professional Counselor who enjoys working with adult and adolescent individuals, families, and couples. She is the former Director of Clinical Services for the Summit Counseling Center, a Certified Professional Counseling Supervisor (CPCS), and a nationally Accredited Counseling Supervisor (ACS). Carleen finds it an honor to help her clients define their goals, find their inner compass, and create the life they have always imagined. She believes that we are all looking for love and belonging and that we are innately driven toward positive growth. Her goal is to walk beside her clients as they move toward increased hope, enhanced life satisfaction, greater spirituality, and sustainable peace. She specializes in helping clients manage life transitions, as well as in the treatment of anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, and loss. Carleen is a Certified Daring Way Facilitator specializing in the work of Brene Brown. She is also a trained DBT therapist who works extensively with dysregulated emotions, self-harming behaviors, and suicidal ideation. She sees couples for premarital counseling, marriage counseling, and discernment counseling. The InnerCompass Counseling Center is in Alpharetta.
