Carli received a Doctor of Philosophy in clinical psychology and a master's degree in school psychology from the University of Virginia. She received her undergraduate degree in psychology from Washington and Lee University. She completed her predoctoral internship and postdoctoral fellowship with Emory University School of Medicine and is currently a volunteer adjunct associate professor with the Emory University School of Medicine who helps provide didactic training for psychiatry residents. In addition, Carli is the consulting psychologist at Trinity School and provides consultative services two mornings a week. She has given presentations on behavior problems in children, foster care, relationships, healthy child development, bullying, depression, child abuse, suicide prevention, and parent child interaction therapy (PCIT), a treatment for children with behavior problems.

Carli offers psychotherapy and evaluation services to children, adolescents, adults, and families in a variety of areas including anxiety, depression, relationship problems, trauma, school problems, ADHD, learning disabilities, adoption, and parenting concerns.
