Summary

As a licensed therapist, Chelsey obtained her Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Mercer University. Throughout her years in private practice, she has had the opportunity to work with a diverse clientele on a variety of issues, including anxiety, addictions, anger, depression, trauma, mental health, and chronic health concerns.
Specifically, Chelsey has worked extensively with teens and adults experiencing eating disorders, addictions, anxiety, depression, trauma, and self-harm. Chelsey also has worked extensively with individuals experiencing life and career transitions. Her passion for the therapeutic process, extensive training, and experience have prepared her to work with clients with a wide range of needs.
Chelsey also works with couples where one or both partners have experienced a drug or alcohol addiction or dependence. Chelsey works to increase transparency and restore safety in the relationship. Additionally, she is a Gottman level 1 and level 2 trained therapist.  
Chelsey uses an integrative approach in therapy; she primarily practices from an attachment theoretical perspective and draws from cognitive behavioral therapy and dialectical behavioral therapy in order to help facilitate change.  In her free time, Chelsey enjoys traveling, spending time on the beach, and enjoying the outdoors with her family.
