Hailey was born in Atlanta and raised by her mom and dad in Duluth, GA. She has a brother who is 4.5 years older. Her childhood was fairly typical. Two full-time working parents who provided a middle class lifestyle. However, Hailey’s family was not well-equipped to know how best to manage and work through Hailey’s emotions as a child. Unfortunately tactics lead her to learn to shove her emotions down and deal with them in her own way. Hailey developed and struggled with an eating disorder throughout much of high school, further exacerbated by sexual abuse by a trusted adult in her life. She was lead to Christ at age 21 by her fiancé at the time who struggled with addiction. This relationship ended, however, Hailey’s love for Jesus grew. Her faith is what finally allowed Hailey to heal and move through her pains from the past. This past propelled Hailey to seek an undergraduate degree in psychology as well as a graduate degree in Marriage and Family Therapy in hopes of supporting others facing similar struggles. Shortly before starting grad school, Hailey met her now husband, Reece. They have been happily and healthily married going on 11 years. Following graduation Hailey was hired on by Building Intimate Marriages, a group practice specializing in Christian sex therapy, where she worked for 8 years before a move to the other side of town lead her to open her own practice. She just completed supervisor training in hopes of hiring an associate counselor and pouring in to the next generation of counselors. Hailey lives at home with her three children, a bearded dragon and therapy dog in training. She is surrounded by a strong support system of friends and family and enjoys baking using home-milled flour. She also continues to meet with her own counselor because we can all benefit from a safe space for continued growth.
