Kami enjoys walking alongside people who are hurting and helping them find healing, resolve past wounds, find solutions for problems, and strengthen or repair relationships. She enjoys working with a variety of clients from young children to adults. Kami's training in marriage and family therapy makes her uniquely qualified to provide counseling to couples for a range of issues, including affair recovery, communication and conflict resolution, and issues with intimacy and connection. Kami helps couples repair, reconnect, or strengthen their relationship and improve physical and emotional intimacy.
Kami has advanced training in working with people who have experienced trauma such as abuse, combat trauma, or traumatic grief/loss, including training in eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR) and trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy (TF-CBT). Kami works with children from preschool age to teenagers and helps families navigate the challenges of life together. She received additional training in theology and faith-based counseling and likes to use Christian beliefs and practices for clients who desire to incorporate their faith in their counseling work.
