Lorien considers it an honor and privilege when clients choose to share their stories with her. She understands that choosing to inquire about counseling means different things for different people, so she always approaches each person as a unique individual, with a personal journey and goals. She loves walking alongside her clients and empowering them to make healthy changes, while approaching each person with empathy, genuineness, and congruency.

Lorien earned a Master of Arts in marriage and family therapy from Richmont Graduate University and also received additional course work and training that allowed her to graduate with a specialization in Christian sex therapy. Over the past 5 years, she has worked in an outpatient setting, working with individuals, couples, and families.

Lorien’s interests include working with adolescents and adults struggling with disordered eating patterns, pregnancy, prenatal and postpartum issues, anxiety disorders, depression, trauma, self-harm, grief and loss, sexuality and identity, and adjustment issues. She also enjoys working with couples who are struggling with communication problems, intimacy issues, infertility, post-affair work, and sex addiction.
