Summary

Micah holds a Masters degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, with specializations in Trauma Counseling and Sex Therapy, from Richmont Graduate University. He is an Associate Professional Counselor (APC) and is a member of the Licensed Professional Counselors Association of Georgia. He is certified as a PREPARE/ENRICH and Rightpath facilitator and is trained in EMDR I. Micah operates from a Family Systemic and attachment perspective where generational family dynamics and influences shape each person’s story and how they are in relationship with themselves and others. He primarily utilizes internal family systems and emotionally focused therapy approaches to help build awareness and create redemptive experiences. Micah’s comes from a Christian background and enjoys working with adolescents and families as well as couples. His focus is coming alongside families, adolescents, and teenagers who desire to find help and resolution. His other focus is helping couples who want to understand and love their partner better to enhance their marriage; or couples, who are in conflictual relationships that are struggling with disconnection and isolation. Micah’s Passion Micah’s passion is to come alongside male adolescents in the process of self-discovery to help grow in awareness of themselves by helping to bring resolution to problems such as pornography, anger, anxiety, depression, isolation, emotional dysregulation, loss and grief, and spiritual confusion. His goal is to provide a safe, non-judgmental space for adolescents and families to come as they are. His hope is that they would come away with a greater awareness of themselves as well as life skills to be able to live their lives more authentically and in connection. Micah enjoys the outdoors, exercising, adventuring, exploring ethnic cuisine, traveling, and sharing life with friends, family, and his wife.
