Dr. Vanessa Ragukonis is a certified Diplomate of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology and a Fellow of the American Psychiatric Association. She holds a full, active medical license in Georgia and is a member of the Georgia Psychiatric Physicians Association. She received a bachelor of arts degree from Vanderbilt University where she double-majored in Spanish and medicine, health, and society. She received her medical degree, Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO), at Rocky Vista University College of Osteopathic Medicine in Colorado. While in medical school, she was commissioned as an Army officer and completed the Military Medicine Honors Track. She completed her Psychiatry Internship and Residency at Tripler Army Medical Center in Hawaii where she served as the Chief Resident. 
 After completing her training, Dr. Ragukonis was stationed at Fort Stewart/Hunter Army Airfield near Savannah, Georgia, where she provided psychiatric care for soldiers and their family members in the inpatient and outpatient settings at Winn Army Community Hospital. Dr. Ragukonis also served as the Chief of Psychiatry for the Department of Behavioral Health at Fort Stewart. She served honorably as an Army officer in the Individual Ready Reserve (four years) and active duty (eight years). She has extensive experience in telemedicine, incorporating virtual visits into her practice since 2020.
 Dr. Ragukonis specializes in the following services for ages 18 and above: comprehensive diagnostic assessments, medication management, and psychotherapy. She aims to improve daily functioning, so individuals are better able to accomplish their social, academic, occupational, and personal goals. She believes symptomatic relief is best accomplished by addressing each individual’s unique emotional, mental, social, and physical challenges.
