Dr. Vanessa Snyder is a Georgia licensed marriage and family therapist, licensed professional counselor, and American Association of Marriage and Family Therapists (AAMFT) approved supervisor. She holds credentials as a certified professional counselor supervisor (4422), certified sex therapist, certified master traumatologist, certified sex addiction therapist, and a Green Cross certified trainer. 

Dr. Snyder is the founder of Resilience Source, LLC, a counseling collective in Roswell, Georgia. Her practice provides counseling, consulting, and training in acute and complex trauma, sexual issues, marriage and family crisis, addiction, trauma-informed care, compassion fatigue, and organizational trauma—with a special focus on Dr. Snyder’s Compassionate Recovery model of care. Her research and training include complex traumatic stress reactions, addiction, dissociative disorders, victims of commercial sex trafficking, organizational trauma, secondary traumatic stress, compassion fatigue, and burnout, specifically those who serve traumatized populations both nationally and internationally. 

In higher education, Dr. Snyder serves as an associate professor in the Ph.D. program for counselor education and supervision at Denver Seminary. She is also an adjunct professor at Richmont Graduate University in Atlanta, Concordia University in Irvine, California, and the Institute for Sexual Wholeness.
Dr. Snyder earned her Ph.D. in counselor education and supervision from Regent University and her master’s degree in marriage and family therapy (with a specialization in Christian sex therapy) from Richmont Graduate University. 

Clinically trained across advanced modalities, her expertise includes eye movement and desensitization and reprocessing (Level 2+), trauma-informed hypnosis (Level 2), sex offender treatment (ITTI), internal family systems (Level 2), certified sex addiction therapy (Mod 1, 2, 3, and 4), trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy, ARC framework (attachment, regulation and competency), Gottman couples therapy, and Prepare-Enrich. She is currently training in neurofeedback certification, functional nutrition and sleep recovery, the revised NICHD protocol for forensic interviewing, and sex offender treatment (SOTP).

Dr. Snyder resides in Roswell, Georgia, with her husband Mark, four children, five grandchildren, and two pups.
