Summary

William Palmer believes in a collaborative, compassionate, and honest approach to counseling. He has a passion for working with males ranging from early adolescence to late adulthood who experience issues involving anger, anxiety, career, community, depression, identity, pornography, relationships, self-harm, suicidal thoughts, shame, spirituality, and trauma. He is also passionate about working with couples. He welcomes the honor of walking alongside spouses to help foster the covenant that they have made. He is trained in implementing Person-Centered Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Internal Family Systems, and Emotion-Focused Therapy. He views individuals and their presenting issues through the lens of attachment theory, interpersonal neurobiology, and trauma-informed theories, all under the authority of God’s Word. His goal is to create a safe and non-judgmental environment where his clients can be truly known without shame. His desire is for each client to leave counseling with more insight towards themselves, a stronger sense of identity, and a centered outlook on the communities they find themself in.

William Palmer holds a Masters degree in Counseling from Reformed Theological Seminary where he learned to be a biblically based counselor who integrates the most helpful discoveries in psychology. He sees clients at Restoration's Woodstock and Roswell locations. He also sees clients virtually.
