Kim is an associate marriage and family therapist who enjoys working with couples, families, and individuals. Her passion lies in helping people navigate life’s challenges and transitions with honesty, resilience, and hope. Kim’s journey to becoming a therapist has been shaped by a wide range of personal and professional experiences. She and her family spent several years serving overseas as missionaries, an experience that deepened her heart for those in full-time ministry. She’s especially passionate about supporting pastors, missionaries, and ministry families as they navigate the unique demands of their calling. Before entering the world of mental health, Kim worked as a registered nurse, caring for patients with HIV/AIDS, chronic illness, and those facing end-of-life issues. This background gives her a unique understanding and compassion for individuals and families dealing with chronic or terminal health conditions. Additionally, she has extensive experience working with seniors in the health care setting and believes their stories deserve to be honored and heard. Kim has been married for over 30 years and is a proud mother of two adult children. Throughout her life, she has navigated a variety of roles—nurse, office manager, stay-at-home and homeschooling mom, business owner, missionary, and now therapist. These transitions have given her a deep appreciation for the complexity of change and the resilience it requires. Kim believes in a collaborative therapeutic process—working alongside her clients to identify what’s no longer working, explore what meaningful change looks like, and take practical steps toward healing and growth.

Good therapy can move you from the discomfort you’re experiencing toward the feeling of centeredness or healing you’re seeking. I would like to work myself out of a job! I don’t like Band-Aids and shallow solutions; these amount to lazy counseling. I believe good counseling combines process and content—your current situation needs something new introduced, something change making. Holding space for, processing, and honoring the pain you are experiencing is mission critical, just as stepping outside your life and working on it is essential. Integrating new understanding and language with change-making tools and skills helps bring different outcomes. I am here as a companion to coach and guide with psychological, spiritual, and relational resources as you journey toward your personal healing and goals. Mandi is a psychotherapist, writer, soul-caretaker, yoga teacher, and momma of teens. She is grateful for the constant love and presence of the Lord.
Daniel Walters Counseling

I understand how debilitating and scary social anxiety, depression, and loneliness can feel. Struggling to get out of bed in the morning, fear of what others will think, or feeling like the only person who doesn't fit in can make somebody want to hide and never come out. I also offer walking sessions to help clients get outdoors. I believe isolation and negative thinking are key components in depression. Part of my goal in therapy is to help clients raise awareness of their behaviors and recognize the lies they tell themselves. I want clients to feel comfortable working at their own pace. I also have a teen processing and hiking group that meets throughout the year for 10 weeks at a time. This group meets once a week for 10 weeks to process what’s happening in group members’ lives and learn new skills to deal with anxiety, stress, depression, family issues, and more. Once a month, we go on a hike or do something fun outdoors. Who: Eight maximum high school guys. Where: My office for weekly sessions and TBD for monthly outings. When: Once a week for skills and processing group and once a month for outdoor hiking or fun activity. Cost: $50 per group session and $60 per outdoor activity.

She integrates mindfulness and breathing techniques into all of her therapeutic work to help clients manage distress and ease tension in the body. Your mind races with thoughts that begin with What if? Your anxiety gets in the way of your relationships, steals your joy, and limits your potential for happiness at home and at work. Worrying about things you cannot control has become a habit, which is hard to break because you believe that the worry prevents the thing from happening. You worry about your relationships, your family, your kids, and your work. Worry turns to guilt about not doing enough and not being enough. You long to quiet the inner critic, let go of the anxiety, feel like you are enough, and live a more fully engaged and balanced life. Through our collaborative efforts, you will learn the skills you need to conquer your worries and unwanted negative, anxious thoughts, communicate your needs effectively, and overcome feelings of guilt and self-doubt. We will work together to help you enjoy your life and relationships again, live fully in the present, and look forward to your future. As a licensed psychologist for over 15 years, I utilize research-supported interventions including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). Using a positive psychology approach, we will identify your strengths and uncover ones you may not even recognize. When nurtured and channeled in the best way, these strengths will help you cope with the past, conquer current fears, and overcome future obstacles on your path. My job is to give you the tools you need to be your own therapist. I am also trained in Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), which is considered a best practice in the treatment of Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD).
