Do you feel like you or your child will never be the same again? Do you wonder if the trauma you have experienced is impacting your parenting? Many of my clients feel this way and are relieved to learn there is hope for healing. My name is Lauren, and I can help. Although I have advanced training in play therapy with children, I also work with teens and adults. I can help your child or teen with trauma, PTSD, anxiety, and depression. I have a passion for working with parents to build parenting skills and increase healthy communication with their child/teen. I also assist adults with trauma and life transitions. I use EMDR with children, teens, and adults. I am a Registered Play Therapist (RPT). With children, I blend play therapy with EMDR. I am also certified in Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) which is another path to healing from trauma. I treat anxiety with a combination of play therapy and cognitive behavioral techniques. I have advanced training, expertise, and experience in working with children and their families who have experienced sexual and/or physical abuse. If you or your child has experienced sexual abuse or any severe trauma, I would be honored to work with you toward healing. I would love to help you find hope as you navigate this difficult path.

Emotions Work Therapy
Marietta, GA
As a therapist, I provide a safe, supportive environment to listen while gently challenging troubling thoughts and addressing painful emotions to encourage growth and change. I’m passionate about meeting clients where they are, helping them unpack life's challenges, and bringing light to difficult situations. I work with couples, individuals, and families seeking healthier, stronger relationships. My approach centers on Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), which focuses on identifying and expressing core emotions that often drive behavior. By exploring these underlying emotions, I help clients improve communication, strengthen emotional bonds, and foster deeper connection. For couples, EFT can guide them in breaking negative patterns, building trust, and restoring intimacy. For individuals and families, it can facilitate healing, conflict resolution, and personal growth. When desired, I also integrate faith into the counseling process, offering a holistic approach to healing that aligns with my clients' beliefs. If you're feeling weighed down by life's challenges, I'm here to walk with you and help you find clarity and hope.

I work best with adults and adolescents ages 16+. I have been in practice since 2011 and earned a master’s degree in community counseling from University of North Georgia. I have worked at Eagle Ranch children’s home in Flowery Branch, Georgia and at Still Waters, a nonprofit Christian counseling center in Gainesville, Georgia. In my own private practice, I currently see clients virtually. I combine cognitive behavioral therapy and family systems to help my clients who are dealing with a variety of issues including anxiety, depression, codependency, anger, grief, and loss as well as marriage, parenting, and spiritual concerns. For clients seeking Christian counseling, I am able to offer a Christ-centered, Biblical approach. I believe that renewing of the mind through the truth of God‘s word and renewing of the heart through experiencing his love are the foundations for peace and joy, regardless of life circumstances. No matter our struggles, Jesus said, “I have come that they may have life and have it abundantly.” I love helping my clients on their journey to find this abundant life. No matter what they’re facing, people of all ages deserve to be met where they are. Hayley seeks to support and champion every client she has the pleasure of working with. Though Hayley enjoys working with all clients, she specializes as a child and adolescent therapist. She places value on understanding child development when treating young people. Hayley operates through a child-centered point of view and uses children’s natural language of play. In the words of Dr. Garry Landreth: “Toys are children’s words and play is their language.” As adults, we often forget that children are innately different—from their brains to the way they see the world. Because of these natural differences, parents sometimes feel lost about how they can support their child. Hayley believes partnering with parents is an important part of the therapeutic process. A team is created whose sole focus is to provide space for each child to grow and be supported, understood, and heard.
