Through discipleship counseling, Tamela experienced healing from her past, discovered her true identity, and found the courage to trust God with her son and let him go. Tamela also learned how to have healthy relationships with her entire family, especially her son, as he began his journey to recovery. The vision of loving one person for a lifetime seems easy when you are in the early stages of love. Most couples along the way, however, hit one or many bumps that may leave them questioning their decision to marry and doubting whether a lifetime commitment is truly possible. Dana is a therapist who believes in marriage. She works with her clients to establish a strong connection. It can be confusing to be successful in your career and education but still feel like you are not measuring up in your marriage. Many young couples today want better relationships than their parents had, but they need role models and skills in order to build lasting marriages. You are not alone! When it comes to adding to the family, couples may unexpectedly face trauma, feelings of depression, or anxiety around the time of a child's birth. Dana is available to walk with you through this, too. Whatever stage you are at in your relationship, Dana helps couples restore peace. Many minority and biracial couples as well as Christian clients find themselves at home with her, though all are welcome. Feel free to call Dana to talk through any questions you may have. She is seeing clients virtually.

Marissa Mundy, LPC, CPCS is the Clinical Director for Restorative Counseling Services, where she serves as the resident couples and family therapist. Clients appreciate her warm and empathetic nature paired with her direct and clear approach. Many couples come to work with Marissa when they are experiencing high levels of conflict, arguments become explosive, and they don’t know how to stop the hurt. Other couples seek help because they find it hard to speak openly with their partners and have fallen into a pattern of avoidance. Whether your marital distress is very loud or painfully quiet, counseling can help. Marissa uses an approach called Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) to help couples increase their attachment bond, reduce conflict, and increase intimacy. Additionally, Marissa regularly works with couples to repair relational wounds that threaten to end the relationship, including affairs, betrayals, addictions, and trauma. For family therapy, Marissa applies the same principles of EFT to help all family members thrive. She works with families with adult children who seek to create a healthier dynamic now that all members of the family system have “flown the nest." Sometimes the entire family will come to therapy, and sometimes Marissa works with a dyad, such as a mother and adult daughter or father and adult son. She also works with adult siblings at any stage of life to create closer bonds.
