Relationships are not easy. Whether it’s trying to begin, continue, or end a relationship with an individual or multiple people, the process is challenging. Sometimes the relationship is worthy of celebrating. Sometimes it is one to nurture. But sometimes there are relationships that you are faced with ending, by your choice or necessity. Regardless of the scenario, relationships are an integral part of our existence. Whether it’s a relationship with Jesus Christ or another individual, it needs the opportunity to grow and develop through time, attention, and communication. Some people experience Christ in their lives in a definitive manner. Others are searching for this type of experience. Still others have opted to bypass a relationship with Christ for one of their own choosing. Wherever you are, if you are stuck and want to move forward beyond present concerns, lingering problems, or an unhealthy past, Priscilla is here to partner with you in helping you find resolution. She is warm, nurturing, empathetic, and actively in pursuit of drawing close in her relationship with Jesus Christ. Call, email, or text, and she will be glad to meet with you to see if it is a good fit.

Restorative Counseling Services

Marissa Mundy, LPC, CPCS is the Clinical Director for Restorative Counseling Services, where she serves as the resident couples and family therapist. Clients appreciate her warm and empathetic nature paired with her direct and clear approach. Many couples come to work with Marissa when they are experiencing high levels of conflict, arguments become explosive, and they don’t know how to stop the hurt. Other couples seek help because they find it hard to speak openly with their partners and have fallen into a pattern of avoidance. Whether your marital distress is very loud or painfully quiet, counseling can help. Marissa uses an approach called Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) to help couples increase their attachment bond, reduce conflict, and increase intimacy. Additionally, Marissa regularly works with couples to repair relational wounds that threaten to end the relationship, including affairs, betrayals, addictions, and trauma.  For family therapy, Marissa applies the same principles of EFT to help all family members thrive. She works with families with adult children who seek to create a healthier dynamic now that all members of the family system have “flown the nest." Sometimes the entire family will come to therapy, and sometimes Marissa works with a dyad, such as a mother and adult daughter or father and adult son. She also works with adult siblings at any stage of life to create closer bonds.

Edliz 'Edi' Vazquez

Edliz 'Edi' Vazquez

Hi there! I'm Edlíz and I work with young adults who are experiencing life transitions; self-esteem or interpersonal struggles; or anxiety, depression, or other mental health concerns. My goal in the therapeutic alliance is to create an opportunity for self-understanding and validation—because let's be honest, the quarter-life crisis is pretty legit. I help clients build skills to manage mental wellness and prevent distress in the future. I also support clients in finding purposefulness in their decisions in order to reinforce healthy identity development. I incorporate cognitive behavioral therapy, acceptance commitment therapy, and humanistic approaches in my work. I believe lasting change takes place when we not only learn how to cope through the difficulties of life, but understand why it's important to build resilience. Growth happens with time and evolves with each stage of life. For clients who have difficulty making office visits because of scheduling or transportation issues, I offer video and phone sessions via confidential, encrypted software. I'm currently taking new therapy clients. If I'm not in session with a client, you'll see me writing away on my blog www.incremental.care.

Dr. Dickerson is sensitive to the physical, emotional, cognitive, social, and spiritual needs of her clients. Her graduate training focused on integrating faith with psychology, and she is more than happy to incorporate faith into therapy when requested, while welcoming individuals from all faith, non-faith, and cultural backgrounds.
