A Life's Journey, Inc
Cumming, GA
Julie chose her business name, A Life’s Journey, because she believes that life is, indeed, a journey. She found that it wasn’t about “arriving”; instead, it’s about learning to be present as you navigate life’s challenges, struggles, and joys. Even while walking in the “valley,” great peace and serenity can be experienced, especially with God. Julie shares a personal journey about a time when her son was found dead and after life-saving measures, he was revived. While she waited in the trauma center, she discovered God’s great presence in her surrender of giving her son over to him. In such agony and despair, she found profound peace. Julie works with clients dealing with depression, anxiety, rage, blended family, addiction in the family, loss, attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), autism, low self-worth, self-injury, relationship issues, bullying, enabling, life changes, medical issues, parenting struggles, loss of faith, spiritual struggles, trauma, divorce, and child/adolescent issues. You can reach her through her scheduling website, calling her schedulers, or texting her. She would be honored to guide and equip you.

Megan is an Atlantan transplant originally from Milwaukee, WI. Though a midwestern girl at heart, a growing curiosity of people, the prospect of change, and the enticing opportunity to learn led her here. It's also kept her here. Megan is continually curious about the mystery of the human condition. She helps her clients understand the roles of history, family, attachments, experience, spirituality, culture, and more in their lives. She creates space for pain and strives to empower, encourage, challenge, and stand alongside her clients as an empathetic, authentic presence. Megan values mindfulness practices and mind/ body connection and awareness, and she brings this insight and experience to her sessions. Couples and individuals experience Megan as warm, inviting, non judgmental, and compassionate. She's collaborative in her work and often works alongside her client's greater support network of any additional therapists, psychiatrists, acupuncturists, coaches, or other wellness practitioners. Megan approaches her therapy- and life in general- with the belief that every human has the full potential to live a whole and healthy life in mind, body, and soul. She believes that change is possible, though also empathizes and understands being in a place where it's hard to grasp the potential for change. Megan believes that therapy is one of the many possible spaces that we can become more present, more conscious, and therefore, more alive. Megan received dual graduate degrees and is a graduate of Mercer University School of Professional Counseling & McAfee School of Theology. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor (License #LPC008487) in the state of Georgia.

Erica approaches working with each client, whether an individual, couple, or family, through the lens of Family Systems. This allows her to view each person and problem in the context of their relationships and the world around them. She enjoys bringing an eclectic and holistic approach to sessions, gravitating to the Psychodynamic and Experiential theories through an attachment and trauma-informed/trained lens. This might look like exploring past relationships and experiences, connecting relational and behavioral patterns, learning to hold space for yourself and your individual truths, and finding ways to work through these themes in order to have a more peaceful future. Erica enjoys a collaborative relationship with her clients and hopes to encourage each person to find their own voice.
