Hannah Clark is a counselor offering therapeutic help to people from all walks of life. Her philosophy is that counseling is for everyone. Just like we go to the doctor for check-ups and take our cars to get the oil changed, mental health works the same way. She enjoys helping individuals of all ages notice when their “check engine” lights are coming on. Then, they can take a look under the hood before any costly maintenance needs to be done. Hannah has experience counseling individuals with issues such as trauma, PTSD, grief, depression, anxiety, career transitions, other life transitions, and shame. With her Masters of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Richmont Graduate University, she feels confident integrating faith and spirituality into counseling. She is also EMDR trained and would be honored to collaborate with you on trauma-informed therapy around the parts of life that are the most difficult to talk about. Hannah finds it beneficial to integrate theories having to do with early childhood experiences and caregiver attachment bonds, along with emotion-focused theories. Hannah sees clients in-person at Restoration's Woodstock location. She also sees clients virtually.

You feel stuck in life and you are unsure how to move forward. You may feel alone or that you can’t talk about your more personal problems with your friends or family out of fear of judgment. Worries and self-judgments feel like weights that continually keep you down and exhaust you. You desire a life that is not dictated by emotions. You want to be kinder to yourself and to be more effective within your relationships. You are fully aware of just how hard it is to be human, and you are seeking someone to walk alongside you as you navigate and make sense of your life experience. Relationships (missing and broken), life demands/expectations, trauma, depression, anxiety, undesired behaviors, and low self-esteem are a few of the common barriers that interfere with individuals experiencing greater lives filled with purpose, meaning, and fulfillment. Phil’s hope is to partner with people who are curious about change and are willing to explore. Through a collaborative relationship, he seeks to understand his client’s experience and utilizes practical skills to achieve the change his clients are seeking. Phil utilizes an integrated approach with his clients that includes elements from person-centered, existentialism, DBT, and ACT therapy. Change is hard on its own and made more difficult when attempted alone. The best chance at moving through tough times is through connection with others. Phil looks forward to connecting with you and offers services both in person and virtually.
