As a newly licensed associate professional counselor, Jill is full of anticipation. She imagines that clients coming to counseling for the first time might feel the same way—a little nervous, but hoping for positive experiences. Jill has learned there is something powerful that happens when you find a listening ear belonging to someone who’s totally for you. Though no one wants to experience disappointment, depression, anxiety, the loss of a loved one, or moments of defeat, the hardships of life are inevitable. Sometimes we find ourselves in a situation where we need someone to walk along beside us, offering us hope and a helping hand. Just as this has been done for her, Jill desires to walk with someone else and help them find hope amid their trials. Jill believes God has given each person intrinsic worth, purpose, and identity. Her faith inspires her to counsel with excellence, using evidence-based theories and techniques. Most importantly, Jill believes God has a powerful, life-giving, life-changing love that has the ability to transform and restore broken hearts and relationships. She wants to hear your story and help you move beyond the struggles you’re facing.

Natalie has a passion for calling out the gold in people. While working toward a bachelor’s degree in dance, Natalie discovered she enjoyed uplifting her fellow dancers even more than teaching classes or performing. She realized the artists she met needed encouragement just as much as technical training, and she sought to fill the gap by becoming a therapist. Before completing a master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling from Liberty University, Natalie gained experience at a children’s home, where she worked with adolescents with behavioral concerns and parents who needed support. She also worked with adolescents and adults with eating disorders at an inpatient program and in a private practice setting. Natalie’s goal is to create a supportive relationship where her clients can find wholeness and healing. She now works with adolescents and adults experiencing anxiety, depression, grief, self-esteem issues, disordered eating, and trauma. She is under the supervision of Lindsey Mart, LPC, CPCS.

Anxiety, worry, and stress can cripple anyone’s life to the point of fatigue, social isolation, depression, and the avoidance of valued activities and goals. People are often left feeling lonely, inadequate, socially anxious—even panicky. Ignoring anxiety or self-medicating with alcohol or drugs makes matters worse. Hector helps people grow and expand into a state of freedom, self-confidence, and empowerment so they can embrace life. Hector himself has recovered from crippling symptoms of anxiety disorders; he truly understands anxiety from the inside out! Traumatic experiences such as childhood abuse and neglect can haunt people for a lifetime. Reliving distressing memories or having nightmares or negative thoughts can make the past seem real when, in reality, it is not. Despite the best self-help efforts, after a short time some people return to the "same old, same old" without getting the results and symptom relief they long for. That's discouraging, isn't it? But long-lasting, personal change is possible. Relief is real; don't lose hope. You’re too important! As a psychotherapist, Hector has been helping people for over 12 years. Using scientifically proven, effective approaches such as EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and mindfulness-based therapy, Hector assists people in developing coping skills they can implement naturally. Through quicker yet still effective methods like EMDR interlaced with hypnosis, Hector helps rewrite negative stories and memories stored in the subconscious mind, where distressing memories, irrational fears, and anxiety reside. In using these methods, people achieve a more thorough and long-lasting renovation of mind, body, spirit, and soul. Hector has also spent several years helping people overcome addictions. Late afternoon and Saturday appointments are available. Visit Hector’s website and call today for a free, confidential 15-minute phone consultation! Hector is only offering virtual services to his clients at this time, which can have the same treatment effect as in-person services.

I bring over 15 years of experience to my work. I completed my Master’s in Professional Counseling at Richmont Graduate University in 2004 after obtaining a Bachelor in Science in Psychology and a Bachelor of Arts in Religion at Furman University in 2002. I am trained in DBT and EMDR. If your faith is important to you, we can certainly incorporate that into our therapy. My approach integrates more concrete aspects of cognitive behavior therapy and more abstract and integrative components of faith and mindfulness. Being a person-centered therapist, I know that each of us has the desire and capacity for growth and change and I bring that knowledge to each session.
