Richard Blankenship, LPC, NCC, CPCS, CBTS, CSRRS is the clinical director for Capstone Counseling and Coaching and Capstone Center for Sexual Recovery & Transformation; a program for male addicts, female addicts, spouses/partners of sex addicts, couples in recovery, and services for children & adolescents. Richard is one of the founders of the International Association of Certified Sexual Addiction Specialists (IACSAS) where he served as president for 13 years, and a founding board member of the Association for Partners of Sex Addicts Trauma Specialists (APSATS) where he served for over 4 years. He developed the first graduate course to be taught on sexual addiction along with a colleague and guest lectures in a variety of University level courses. Richard is a licensed professional counselor (LPC) with the state of Georgia, a nationally certified counselor (NCC) with the National Board of Certified Counselors, a certified clinical hypnotherapist (CCH), a certified clinical sexual & relational recovery specialist (CSRRS), and a certified clinical betrayal trauma specialist (CBTS) through the Addo recovery network. Richard is also a certified professional counselor supervisor (CPCS) through the Licensed Professional Counselors Association of Georgia.

Ryan’s personal experiences using and abusing alcohol and drugs as a teen resulted in a 7 year battle with addiction. The path of reckless living led him into a myriad of trouble through his early 20’s, but now he has come full circle. He has been in recovery over 18 years and leverages his experiences and story to engage teens. Pathways2Life was initially birthed in 2007 as a support group – designed to create a safe and authentic environment to allow students to process their lives with a person of understanding. In 2010, drug and alcohol prevention efforts began and Pathways DnA was created to educate youth and parents about the risks associated with teen substance abuse. Ryan’s story, experiences, and skills in addiction counseling fuel him as he seeks to educate, engage and equip families to navigate challenges they face in today’s society. He is happily married to Pamela and they have two sons, Josiah and Asa.

Sunrise Detox is a Joint Commission Accredited facility and a state licensed alcohol and drug detox center with locations in in Florida, Georgia, New York, Massachusetts and New Jersey. We have been in business for 17 years and offer a safe, comfortable environment to detox in. The Alpharetta location is a 30 bed facility. Our road to recovery is dignified. We are not a lock down treatment program and although the process is a medical detox, the accommodations feel more like home than a cold, antiseptic hospital. We have full medical team on staff 24/7 to help you through the detox process. We do use medications to help with any withdrawal symptoms you may experience to keep you comfortable throughout the detox process. Our clients reside in comfortable modern, elegantly furnished rooms with plenty of space for personal belongings. Individuals are not required to wear uncomfortable hospital gowns and during the detox process and have easy access to in-house laundry facilities. Good nutrition is also an essential part of the detoxification process. Alcoholism and drug addiction can often leave individuals with varying degrees of malnutrition, so we provide a full-service on-site gourmet kitchen that serves a diverse menu of nutritionally balanced meals and snacks. Sunrise Detox offers individual and group counseling to clients while they're with us and bring in 12 Step meetings to introduce people to the recovering community. Sunrise clients know they're not alone once they've completed treatment. Our discharge planners will help clients decide what they should do next, and with a network of the finest treatment centers, we will be happy to make continuing care arrangements.
