Kirsten Banks is a licensed professional counselor (LPC), certified professional counselor supervisor (CPCS), and nationally certified interventionist with more than 25 years of experience helping individuals, couples, and families find hope, healing, and a path forward. As founder and clinical director of Therapeutic Recovery Network, Kirsten’s work is rooted in compassionate, whole-family care, and addressing the deeper issues that can keep individuals and families feeling stuck.
Kirsten specializes in trauma, relationships, family challenges, substance use and addiction, recovery, and complex life circumstances. She provides individual, couples, family, and trauma therapy and can incorporate Christian faith and biblical principles into counseling for clients who desire a faith-based approach.
With extensive training in EMDR, emotionally focused therapy (EFT), progressive counting, the flash technique, and polyvagal-informed trauma therapy, Kirsten uses evidence-based approaches tailored to each client’s unique needs. Her style combines warmth and compassion with practical guidance, helping clients understand underlying patterns, heal from painful experiences, strengthen relationships, and create meaningful, lasting change.
Kirsten is also a certified ARISE® interventionist (CAI) and certified intervention professional (CIP), helping families navigate substance use, mental health concerns, treatment placement, and recovery. She has worked across nearly every level of behavioral healthcare, from outpatient counseling to inpatient treatment.
Kirsten has volunteered in the recovery community for more than 20 years and has served in youth ministry at her local church, reflecting her longstanding commitment to faith, families, and her community.
