Summary

Growing up near the water, Kristen has always been drawn to the rhythm of the tides and the possibility of what lies ahead. The mysterious communion of sand and sea brings her back to the simple truth that everyone is on a journey discovering their path toward home. Inspired by the extraordinary resilience of the human spirit, Kristen believes in fostering a space of rest and belonging for those on the journey. For those who have felt tossed about by the waves of life, Kristen understands the value of diving in together and remaining committed to curiosity over fear in the voyage ahead.
Kristen is a graduate of Richmont Graduate University with a master's degree in clinical mental health counseling and a certificate in trauma therapy. Over the past six years she has worked with children, teens, adults, and families at the inpatient, residential, and partial hospitalization level of care treating trauma and eating disorders. She is now in private practice where she specializes in treating individuals 16 and older who face issues with anxiety, depression, life transitions, grief, spirituality, trauma, and women's issues. She utilizes talk therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), and somatic interventions with her clients and is trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), which is considered the gold standard for trauma recovery.
Kristen’s personal interests include hiking, finding local restaurants with great ambiance, spending time with her golden retriever Shiloh, and traveling anywhere a plane, train, car, or boat can take her.
