With more than a decade of counseling experience, Lauren has a passion for helping clients experience healing and hope. She enjoys empowering individuals, couples, and families to overcome challenges and believes that being healthy and being happy are often one and the same. Having received counseling herself, she understands the importance of finding a counselor the client feels comfortable with. Lauren values the connection with her clients, and they have said that she genuinely cares and takes the time to know them well. Lauren’s specialties include: physical and emotional intimacy, trauma recovery, grief and loss, depression, anxiety, affair recovery, communication, conflict resolution, and premarital counseling. She uses empirically validated techniques such as the Gottman Method, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)to help clients reach their goals. Lauren has been married to her best friend, Josh, since 2008 and has two sons, Caleb and Mason. She's also mom to labradoodle Felix, who can join counseling sessions at the client’s request. In her free time, she enjoys talking with others, reading, writing, and spending time outside.
