Ryan Snider is an associate professional counselor (APC) who works with teens, young adults, and adults navigating grief, anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship challenges, life transitions, and questions of identity, faith, and purpose. With two master’s degrees and a Doctor of Ministry (DMin), Ryan brings a unique combination of clinical training, theological education, and academic scholarship to his counseling work.
Ryan earned his master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling from the University of West Georgia, a master’s degree from Duke University, and his Doctor of Ministry from Emory University. He is also a published research author whose academic work has focused on person-centered interventions for young adults. His background allows him to thoughtfully engage clients who want to explore how faith, spirituality, meaning, and personal values intersect with emotional health and life experiences.
Ryan is particularly passionate about helping people through grief, significant life changes, uncertainty, and seasons when they may feel stuck or disconnected. He also works with individuals navigating religious or spiritual trauma, questions about long-held beliefs, or a desire to develop a healthier and more integrated relationship with their faith.
Drawing from existential therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), and DBT-informed interventions, Ryan balances meaningful exploration with practical tools for everyday life. His warm, relational approach creates a supportive, nonjudgmental environment where clients can feel heard, gain greater clarity, and move toward healing, purpose, and meaningful change.
Ryan practices under the supervision of Kirsten Banks, LPC, CPCS, CAI, CIP.
