Summary

Tanya is a licensed marriage and family therapist (LMFT) who is passionate about helping her clients understand how their family of origin, culture, and faith have impacted how they see the world. By discovering these often unspoken rules about life, Tanya helps both families and individuals use this insight to empower them to choose their paths with greater understanding and freedom.
She uses techniques from structural family therapy (SFT), cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) to work with adolescents, families, and individuals. She focuses on anxiety, depression, parenting, family conflict, identity formation, and relationship challenges. It is her goal to help foster personal healing and growth while also establishing a safe environment to support lasting change.
Tanya grew up speaking both English and Spanish and has lived a total of 14 years overseas. Her experiences in ministry, education, and counseling have given her a broad perspective with which to better understand people from a variety of backgrounds.
